NYC Seminar: How Parents Can Teach Their Kids About Sex and Character
Source: Tween Parent Staff

(25 ratings)
Sex education does not begin in middle school; it begins in the home where children pick up verbal and non-verbal cues about how they are to feel about their bodies, attachment, and touch. In her talk on December 4 Sari Cooper, L.C.S.W. will guide parents through a sex education curriculum based on developmental maturity for children from K-6 before they hit adolescence. She will also give parents an understanding of how their own comfort and discomfort may influence their decisions regarding discussions with their children, plus offer tips on how to turn the questions kids naturally ask into teachable moments.
