Why We Collect Your Information
Our primary purpose in collecting information on TweenParent.com is to improve your experience on our site by offering you relevant content and services as well as an efficient experience. We only collect information that we consider necessary for achieving this purpose.
How We Collect Information
TweenParent.com collects data that you provide to us and through the use of web technology. Like most sites, TweenParent.com makes use of browser “cookies”. Cookie technology does not capture your individual e-mail address or any personal information about you. Cookies are small text files placed on your computer’s hard disk by our server. They make our Web site easier for you to use by saving your preferences while you are visiting our Web site, by allowing us to quickly check your status as a subscriber and facilitate access to these preferences. Cookies also help us know which areas of our site are your favorites, which areas need improvement, and what technologies and Internet services our visitors are using. Knowing this information helps us continually improve your online experience. The information we track with cookies is anonymous and is not used to identify, or lead us back to any particular visitor to our Web Site. None of this information is associated with you as an individual and is measured only in aggregate. Although most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies, you may have the option to disable cookies via your browser preferences. (Each browser is different, so check the “Help” menu or preferences in your web browser to learn how to change your cookie preferences.) Please keep in mind that your experience of the TweenParent.com site may be different if you set your browser to block cookies and cookies must be enabled in order to register with the Site. You should also understand that in the course of serving advertisements to our Web Site, third party advertisers and sponsors may place or recognize a unique cookie on your browser. We do not control these cookies. Additionally, TweenParent.com also uses transparent GIF images. We use these images to track the e-mails that we send out.
Like most standard web site services, TweenParent.com uses log files. This may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks. This information helps us to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. We typically do not link IP addresses and other log file information to any personally identifiable information. This means that a visitor’s session activity will be tracked and logged, but the visitor remains anonymous to us.
Who We Share Information With
We take seriously the trust you place in us and will not sell, rent or lease your information to third parties without your express permission. We may disclose information to outside companies that help us bring you the products and services we offer. For example, we may work with an outside company to manage a database of customer information, assist us in distributing e-mails, assist us with direct marketing and data collection, provide us with storage and analysis, provide fraud prevention, and other services designed to assist us in maximizing our business potential. Two of the companies we work with are Constant Contact and Google.
